Our Philosophy
At Huron Park Montessori School & Child Care Centre, we are committed to creating an enriched Montessori environment, fully devoted to nurturing a child’s love of learning. Our carefully prepared individualized learning environment is based on the principles of Dr. Maria Montessori. Our program aims to provide a smooth transition from the Montessori environment into the school system.
Our goal is to build an environment that will help your child explore, communicate, work and perfect skills to their highest potential, while maintaining the highest level of Health and Safety protocols. Our Montessori-based structured environment provides optimum growth in all the areas including intellectual, physical and cognitive development. Huron Park Montessori is proud to offer a nurturing, non-competitive, safe and stimulating environment. Our program encourages children to improve their self-esteem, become well-grounded in academics and regard learning as a natural, joyful experience.
Our Educators
Dedication to every child
The most important attribute of our teachers is the love and respect they hold for each child’s total learning.
Our dedicated staff includes a Resource Consultant, Registered Educators, and Early Education Assistants. Our teachers have obtained their Resource Consultant Graduate Certificate, Early Childhood Education Diploma and / or Early Childhood Assistance Diplomas. All Early Childhood Educators are registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators. Each staff member is trained in Infant/Child CPR and First Aid. We provide professional development workshops to our staff throughout the year. We are a member of Raising the Bar - a quality initiative designed to enhance quality care in child care and early years program. The initiative engages our educators to become critical thinkers and reflect on our program and teaching methods in order to enhance our quality of teaching.
Our dedicated and caring staff have in depth knowledge of early childhood development, observation and assessment skills. This allows them to guide the children in their learning through developmentally appropriate experiences that promotes each child’s physical, cognitive, language, emotional social and creative development.
We are happy to accept field placement students enrolled in Early Childhood Education programs.
